This year, we're lacing up our running shoes for a cause that matters—education. Stride for Scholars is a bold initiative to take part in 12 running competitions over the next 12 months, with a goal of funding 12 life-changing apprenticeships for deserving students.

Ausbildungsplätze für Jugendliche in Burkina Faso
Die Jugendlichen in der Region Fada leben in sehr armen Verhältnissen. Ihre Situation hat sich durch zunehmende Konflikte im Land verschlechtert. Dieses Projekt bietet Ihnen eine neue Zukunftsperspektive. Sie bekommen eine Ausbildung in einem Sektor, in dem sie später eine Arbeit finden oder sich selbstständig machen können. Zusätzlich bekommen sie eine Ausbildung in Unternehmensführung und digitalem Marketing. Die Ausbildung dauert durchschnittlich 12 Wochen.

For 42 francs a month, you're opening the way out of poverty for a child. Sponsorship ensures that the child is known, loved and protected. In particular, it gives the child access to schooling, tutoring, regular balanced meals, medical care and training in the spiritual field, hygiene, etc. Every week, the child participates in the activities of one of the project center of the 8,000 local churches that are partners of Compassion. They allow him or her to discover and develop his or her talents.
